Book Revue | A Work in Progress / Connor Franta

So, I finished a book recently and I thought to myself, why not give a brief review of it? Well, here we are now.

Welcome to the first installment of what I’m going to be calling the “Book Revue”!

First up is a memoir by a 22 year-old youtuber named, Connor Franta. A Work in Progress was a perfect summer read, and easy to get in before the semester starts and summer ends! Read on to learn more. Go on; I dare ya.

A Work in Progress is the story of author Connor Franta’s life so far. It’s an attempt to let his 5 million YouTube followers in on more than just those five minute videos every week on #FrantasticMonday.

Personally, I enjoyed this book because it was easy to read and aesthetically pleasing. Franta goes into details about how he was crafted into the man he is today and where he’s heading. From struggling a bit with weight, to taking the risk to move to Los Angeles, and even coming out (privately and publicly), the story written on these pages is inspiring and moving to say the least.

Franta expands upon his need to be creative and his love for photography in his memoir. This is evident from the get-go. The cover is gorgeous. Not to mention that photos by Franta fill pages that respectfully pair with his words.

If you’re looking for a little end-of-summer reading or some feel-good moments, I highly recommend getting your hands on a copy of A Work in Progress. It’ll entertain, inspire, and enlighten you.

Thanks for taking a look at this post! Follow to keep up with more posts like this and give this post a “like” if you’re really feelin’ yourself.

¡Muchas gracias, amores!
