Photograms. In short, this was not my favorite assignment. Designed to help us understand more about light and the photographic printing process, the photogram assignment was more rewarding in hindsight.
In our second assignment, we were charged with just making two photograms of whatever subject matter we desired. I experimented with a lot of different news clippings (because of the transparency of newsprint) and cut out snowflakes (not very original).
After many (many) attempts, I ended up with the image below and another, which I did not scan, depicting a snowflake-esque pattern covering the photo paper.
